With move-in day last week for the Oklahoma Sooners' new players, it's fair to say that it's time to start getting some chemistry in the building. The Sooners are bringing in 18 freshmen and 15 transfers. That's 33 new players who don't know everyone else, whether it be the other players or the coaching staff.

So, this time, before they really dive in and start putting in crazy work, is key. The time when they really get to know one another is crucial because the best teams in the country have the best chemistry.

That's why head coach Brent Venables is hosting parties at his house with his players. No, not frat parties or anything crazy, but a really cool, fun-looking, get-together, and even a birthday party.

The Sooners' social media account for their football team posted a cool video of all of the new players at Venables house, playing pool, and doing all kinds of things. This is the perfect way to get the chemistry right on your team, and show these new players how much of a player's coach you can be.

The Sooners had a bad 2024, I mean one of the worst years they have had in over 20 years. Under Brent Venables, they have had two losing seasons, whereas before that the last one was in the late 90s. So, there's a lot of pressure on his shoulders, as well as the programs.

He has to get these guys to buy in. Building the chemistry is the perfect way to do that.
