The LSU Tigers will have another roster hole to fill as tight end Mason Taylor has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Taylor is the latest player to depart from the football program and enter the NFL Draft early with left tackle Will Campbell being the other.
Taylor has been a stalwart player for the Tigers. He was a major contributor as a true freshman, with 38 catches for 414 yards and three touchdowns, and that consistent production was maintained throughout his three seasons with the Tigers.
Over his career, Taylor had 129 catches for 1,308 yards and six touchdowns. His ability to attack up the seams has been a consistent weapon for the Tigers over his tenure.
His addition to the NFL Draft is a good one, as the tight end class is already a strong one. The Tigers will likely fill his departure with freshman Trey'Dez Green or sophomore Ka'Morreun Pimpton.
