The Oklahoma Sooners are set to play the Ole Miss Rebels this week shortly after losing an embarrassing game to the South Carolina Gamecocks. And, while it may seem like the season is over to many fans, there is still a lot of football left to be played.
So, the Sooners needed some great news heading into this week. And, to start, they were getting it. Head coach Brent Venables provided an injury report early in the week regarding all of the skill players, and, the news was good, for the most part.
He mentioned that a few players who have been out for a while had a chance to play this week. He also packaged that with a few players who are set to be out for some time, and their current status.
One of the players who was thought of potentially playing this week was Deion Burks, who last played against the Tennessee Volunteers. He was questionable, but now, the trending good news has come to a screeching halt.
Deion Burks, on Thursday night, was downgraded from questionable to doubtful, meaning there is a very low chance he plays.
Jackson Arnold will once again be without the best receiver on the team.
