NFL Power Rankings Week 13:
1. San Francisco 49ers (9-3) 📈 2
We have a change at the top of our power rankings, but it's a spot the 49ers are familiar with from their hot start to the season. The 49ers have won four in a row after their midseason three-game losing streak. It seems that losing streak was just what the doctor ordered because since then, they have outscored their opponents 134 to 49 over the past four weeks. The most recent was the sweetest as they got revenge on the Philadelphia Eagles, who sent them home in the NFC Championship last season in Week 13 with a 42-19 dominating win. They remain one game behind the Eagles in the NFC, but this was a big step toward them overtaking that top seed in the near future.
2. Philadelphia Eagles (10-2) 📉 1
The Eagles suffered their 2nd loss of the season and were flat-out embarrassed by the 49ers 42-19. This matchup was circled by both teams when the schedule was released. It was a rematch of last year's NFC championship, where the Eagles punched their ticket to the Super Bowl, and it seems that the 49ers were out to right that wrong. The Eagles don't have much time to lick their wounds as they are now on the road to take on their divisional rival, the Dallas Cowboys, who they are only a game up on in the NFC East standings. They did decide to pick up a small win even before their matchup as the Eagles landed former All-Pro LB Shaquille Leonard over the Cowboys to boost their LB room.
3. Dallas Cowboys (9-3) 📈 1
It was closer than they would have liked, but the Cowboys walked out of Week 13 with a 41-35 win over the Seahawks. They have now won four games in a row and have scored 40+ points in three of those wins. QB Dak Prescott is playing some of the best football of his career, and in my opinion, he should be the favorite for the MVP award as of today. They have arguably the most important game on their schedule up next, with the Eagles coming to town. They dropped the first matchup with their divisional rivals in Week 9 28-23, and if they want any chance of taking control of their division, they need to even up the series.
4. Kansas City Chiefs (8-4) 📉 2
The Chiefs were upset In Week 13 as they fell to the Green Bay Packers 27-19. They have lost two of their last three and dropped to the 3rd seed in the AFC Playoff Picture. The lack of weapons at the WR position continues to be the downfall of the Chiefs offense. In Week 13, only two players had over 25 receiving yards: Travis Kelce (81 yards) and rookie WR Rashee Rice (64 yards). While Patrick Mahomes is incredible, the lack of reliable options is catching up with him. Someone better step up fast before it's too late and they are home on the couch watching someone else hold up the Lombardi trophy.
5. Baltimore Ravens (9-3) ↔️
The Ravens are coming off their bye and are now tied with just the Miami Dolphins for the best record in the AFC. While the Ravens have multiple injuries that will impact the team down the stretch, their QB Lamar Jackson is having an excellent season and is viewed by many as one of the contenders for this season's MVP. How he will respond to likely having to be without his favorite target in TE Mark Andrews will be something important to monitor down the stretch as the Ravens prepare for a brutal stretch of their schedule as all of their remaining opponents have a .500 record or better.
- Week 14: Vs. Los Angeles Rams (6-6)
- Week 15: @ Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4)
- Week 16: @ San Francisco 49ers (9-3)
- Week 17: Vs. Miami Dolphins (9-3)
- Week 18: Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5)
6. Miami Dolphins (9-3) ↔️
7. Detroit Lions (9-3) 📈1
8. Buffalo Bills (6-6) 📈
9. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4) 📉2
10. Houston Texans (7-5) ↔️
The Texans and rookie QB CJ Stroud picked up their seventh win of the season to improve to 7-5 with their Week 13 win over the Denver Broncos. It wasn't Stroud's best day, but the team was able to get the job done as they continue to fight for an AFC playoff spot. They have now won three of their last four and will prepare to take on their final five games of the regular season, which includes three divisional games.
11. Los Angeles Ram (6-6) 📈 3
12. Indianapolis Colts (7-5) 📈 3
13. Green Bay Packers (6-6) 📈 5
The Packers have now won three straight, including back-to-back wins over the Lions and the Chiefs. Jordan Love contained his recent surge by throwing three touchdowns and led his team to a 27-19 win over the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs. Things looked bleak for the Packers when they were 3-6, and many believed they would begin to focus their attention towards next season. Love and the Packers are now 6-6 and sit as the 7th seed in the NFC Playoff Picture. They are now in the driver's seat for an NFC playoff spot with a favorable remaining schedule. As only one of their final five opponents currently has a winning record.
- Week 14: @ New York Giants (4-8)
- Week 15: Vs. Buccaneers (5-7)
- Week 16: @ Carolina Panthers (1-11)
- Week 17: @ Minnesota Vikings (6-6)
- Week 18: Vs. Chicago Bears (4-8)
14. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5) 📉 3
15. Seattle Seahawks (6-6) 📉 2
16. Denver Broncos (6-6) 📉 4
17. Atlanta Falcons (6-6) 📈 2
18. Cleveland Browns (7-5) 📉 2
19. New Orleans Saints (5-7) 📉 1
20. Cincinnati Bengals (6-6) 📈 2
One of the biggest shockers of Week 13 was the Joe Burrow-less Bengals taking down the Jaguars on Monday Night Football in overtime, 34-31. A big reason for this outcome was the stellar performance of backup QB Jake Browning, who completed 32 of his 37 pass attempts for 354 yards and a touchdown through the air and on the ground. Many believed the Bengals season was finished after Burrow's injury, but they showed the league this week that they aren't going to roll over and die, and they picked up a win over one of the best teams in the AFC.
21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6) 📉 1
22. Los Angeles Chargers (5-7) 📉 1
The Chargers may have picked up the win in Week 13, but it was a rough watch. They squeaked by with a 6-0 win over the two-win New England Patriots. This team doesn't lack talent on the roster, but they seem to lack the drive and preparation to reach their potential. That falls on head coach Brandon Staley's shoulders, whose job seems very in danger after this disappointing season finally ends.
23. Tennessee Titans (4-8) 📈 1
24. Washington Commanders (4-9) 📉 1
25. Minnesota Vikings (6-6)
26. Chicago Bears (4-8) ↔️
27. Las Vegas Raiders (5-7) ↔️
28. Arizona Cardinals (3-10) 📈 2
It was quite the homecoming for Cardinals RB James Conner against his former team, as he rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns against the Steelers. His performance helped the Cardinals pick up their third win of the season. The Cardinals lack talent throughout their roster, but first-year head coach Jonathan Gannon has his team playing competitive football and is building a solid foundation for them to hit the road running next season.
29. New York Giants (4-8) ↔️
30. New York Jets (4-8) 📉 2
31. New England Patriots (2-10) ↔️
32. Carolina Panthers (1-11) ↔️
