For Robert Kraft, simply inducting Tom Brady into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame just wasn't enough.
The Patriots owner needed to do even more for the quarterback to show how much he appreciated him.
And Kraft came up with the perfect solution.
Prior to giving Brady his jacket, Kraft took a moment to speak to the fans. And he announced that the No. 12 will never be worn by another player in franchise history. That number is officially retired at Gillette Stadium.
But even that wasn't all.
To honor Brady for everyone to see, Kraft commissioned a 12-foot statue of the quarterback that will be unveiled during the 2024 season and will sit in the plaza right outside the Hall of Fame.
Wednesday night was truly a celebration for the quarterback, with hundreds of players coming out to support him. And numerous of his teammates took the stage to say incredible things about what Brady means to them.
Throughout his 20 year tenure in New England, Brady won six Super Bowl championships and turned the Patriots into one of the greatest franchises in NFL history.
So his number retired and a statue is what every Patriots fan wanted to hear, and Robert Kraft delivered.
