For the second time this offseason, Indianapolis Colts legend Peyton Manning surprisingly showed up at an event honoring Tom Brady.
Earlier this offseason, he attended Netflix's Roast of Tom Brady and was a surprise roaster. Now, he showed up at Tom Brady's induction into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.
Manning and Brady have been friends for quite some time, dating back to their playing days. Manning even shared a funny story describing when they hung out in public back when they were still playing. The rivalry between Colts and Patriots fans was so deep he jokingly told those with them, "If you tell anybody that Tom Brady and I are friends, we're going kill all of you."
Manning and Brady have jokingly taken shots at each other a lot over the years, even now, with both retired. Both are held in high regard for the legendary careers both had during their time in the NFL. Manning is already a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Brady will be joining him as a first-ballot member and the headliner of the class of 2028.
Manning and Brady played each other 12 times in the regular season, and the Patriots won 9 of the games. And the two squared off in the playoffs five times during their career, where Manning won three. When it's all said and done, both are mentioned in the conversation of the greatest QB of all time, even if fans of either side make it a personal goal to discredit the other. But this, without a doubt, has to be one of the most star-studded friendships that began as enemies on the football field that the NFL has ever seen.
