Former Ohio State Buckeyes running back is heading back to the transfer portal in search of his final college football stop
The former Buckeye is heading back to the transfer portal for a second time.
The transfer portal is filling up by the day as we inch toward the offices opening on Jan. 2. For the Ohio State Buckeyes, they’ve had just one player make his intentions known that he would be entering the portal so far, and that is WR Bryson Rodgers.
Ohio State is expected to lose several players to the transfer portal when it opens during the two-week period that it runs. Unfortunately, the portal lines up with the College Football Playoff’s last two rounds being played. While not many current Buckeyes have made the jump to the portal yet, several former Ohio State players have, including a new one on Tuesday.

Evan Pryor was a 4-star running back in the class of 2021 and a part of the same class that the Buckeyes took TreVeyon Henderson in. Pryor was the second back for the Buckeyes in that class and spent his first three years of college at Ohio State before transferring to Cincinnati. After playing the last two seasons with the Bearcats, Pryor is looking for one final stop at the collegiate level.
Pryor played in eight games for the Buckeyes between the 2021-23 seasons and had 147 rushing yards and a touchdown during that time. After being buried on the depth chart in Columbus, Pryor transferred to Cincinnati where he had 418 rushing yards and 181 receiving yards in 2024. The former Buckeye had 522 rushing yards with Cincinnati in 10 games this season before he decided to enter the transfer portal.
Between the injury in 2022 and the talent ahead of him, Pryor’s time in Columbus didn’t work out like it potentially could have. Now, the 5-foot-9, 195-pound North Carolina native is seeking to play one last year of college football and is likely to land in a spot where he can have a bigger impact than he did at Cincinnati.
