Jaxson Dart’s sophomore season hit an early and frightening snag on “Monday Night Football.” The New York Giants quarterback suffered a potential knee injury on the team’s first offensive drive against the Los Angeles Rams, going down in pain after contact on a third-down pass attempt. His leg made an awkward movement on the play, and trainers rushed to his side immediately.
He was quickly listed as questionable to return, and Jameis Winston entered the game on the second drive. Right after halftime, Dart was officially ruled out for the rest of the game.

Giants’ quarterback situation without Dart

The team does have Jake Haener on the practice squad, but because he is a PS player, he is ineligible to serve as the emergency third quarterback on game day. He could potentially be elevated or promoted for the next few games.
