What was supposed to be a rebound season for the Baltimore Ravens has turned into a total nightmare. The season now sits on the brink — but the Ravens are going to have to figure out how to stay competitive without QB Lamar Jackson.

Jackson’s season may be over amid a new injury. But the bad news at quarterback doesn’t stop with the former league MVP in Baltimore. On the heels of a 36-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Ravens are going to be down TWO quarterbacks.

Baltimore Ravens backup QB Snoop Huntley is also down and out for the foreseeable future

“And then Tyler “Snoop” Huntley came right in. And quickly injured his toe, was diagnosed with turf toe. My understanding is he is going to be out an extended period of time as well. He is going to have tests today to determine how much, but not expected back this week.”

Well gang…when it rains, it pours. It is POURING in Baltimore right now. Beyond the backdrop of the Lamar Jackson contract situation and his big-picture outlook with the franchise, the Ravens are now having to deal with a third-string quarterback with the second half of this season looming. The Ravens appeared to have everything set up on a tee for this season amid the promise of new head coach Jesse Minter and OC Declan Doyle.

And, no matter the offensive coordinator, the Ravens have been able to consistently find competitive play with Huntley behind center in Jackson’s absence. But that’s all out the window now. Everyone’s going to be focused on the Ravens’ future with Lamar Jackson — and I get why. But the short term situation is just as concerning and features even less in the way of answers.

That is, of course, unless the Ravens resort to drastic measures before next week’s trade deadline.
