The Fighting Irish offense has a clear mismatch in this contest against the BC defense. This feels like the perfect opportunity for redshirt freshman quarterback CJ Carr to get back on track after a struggling outing against the USC Trojans two weeks ago. Even if Carr isn’t the best version of himself, the Eagle run defense has an extremely tough task against Irish superstar Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price. You have to feel pretty good about Love continuing his case for the Heisman Trophy in this contest.
On the defensive side of the football, Chris Ash’s defense has been a ton better over the last several games. This contest is about continuing that momentum and defeating a struggling Boston College offensive unit. There is no reason that the defense won’t be able to keep that confidence.
