Four Miami Dolphins whose stock is up after Week 4 loss to the Minnesota Vikings
Whose stock is up? A look at the players trending up after the Miami Dolphins’ Week 4 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings.
The Miami Dolphins lost another close call on Sunday in Minneapolis. It marked their second narrow defeat in as many weeks — once again falling to a playoff hopeful after failing to make the key plays late in the game.
There’s progress. But not enough at once to get a breakthrough in the win column. Where is that progress showing the most in Week 4? Here’s a look at four Miami Dolphins whose stock is UP after the team’s 15-10 defeat at the hands of the Vikings.
Four Miami Dolphins with risking stock after the Miami Dolphins’ 15-1o defeat to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4

RB Ollie Gordon II
Score Round 1 of the battle between Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon II in favor of Gordon. With no De’Von Achane in the mix, Miami has backfield snaps open for the taking. And it seemed this week that Wright was going to get the first crack. He was listed as the starter on the depth chart and got the pre-game reps with the first-team group.
And yet there was Gordon, powering between the tackles to give Miami’s offense some life in the second half. If we played again today, I don’t know how Wright gets the first reps over Gordon II.
Rookie LB Jacob Rodriguez
A man possessed. Rodriguez broke a franchise record for the most tackles by a rookie in a game, pushing past Hall of Fame linebacker Zach Thomas’ mark of 16 tackles in a single contest. Of all of the Miami Dolphins’ young players getting a chance to play, none have made as much of a splash as Rodriguez. The game is clearly not too fast for him and he’s rising to the occasion with some major responsibilities.
EDGE defender Chop Robinson
Hello, Chop Robinson! This looked like the first-round pick version of Robinson. He was a terror in this game — credited with 8 total pressures and a sack on Brian O’Neill. Robinson’s 8 pressures against Minnesota were equal to what the team leader, Joshua Uche, had in the first three weeks of the season…COMBINED.
If Miami gets this version of Chop, then the pass rush question is going to look a little different than it did over the first month of the season. Here’s hoping…
WR Malik Washington
Washington posted 67 receiving yards against the Vikings and hasn’t logged less than 43 yards in a game thus far this season. He’s been effective making the first arriving defender miss and creating some chunk plays with the ball in his hands. Washington doesn’t tilt the field as a receiver but he’s proving himself to be a viable part of a platoon of receivers. He’s got 10 catches for 123 yards over the last two weeks — plus a touchdown against the Chiefs negated due to an illegal shift.
