Titans roster cuts tracker 2026: Live updates as Tennessee builds its initial 53-man roster
The Tennessee Titans wrapped up their preseason Saturday night against the Bears and now Mike Borgonzi and Robert Saleh have less than 24 hours to cut the 90 man roster to 53 for the 2026 NFL season.
The Tennessee Titans are on their way from cutting the roster from 91 to 53 men for the 2026 NFL season, after the first training camp and preseason under new head coach Robert Saleh.
For the most part, we’re not expecting too many surprises from general manager Mike Borgonzi and Saleh’s staffs, but you never truly know in this league.
Below are the reported roster cuts throughout a fluid Sunday of many moves across the league.

Titans Roster Cuts Reported:
Guard Cordell Volson
The first Titans cut of the day is G Cordell Volson, which is a fitting place to start whittling down this roster after what we saw this August. Volson was added with the idea of him being the veteran stopgap at the starting RG spot, with younger players behind him working to develop and eventually claim the role with higher ceilings. The Titans should be thanking their lucky stars today based on what ended up happening with rookie Fernando Carmona, who claimed the job faster than anyone expected him to. Because what Volson put on tape in the preseason games as well as showed us in practice was simply not good enough to be the stopgap Tennessee originally hoped he’d be. After missing all of the 2025 season due to injury, it just does not seem like this former starter still has it in him to play at a high enough level. Even if Carmona had not come along the way that he did, I think Jackson Slater would have beat him out handily too. – Freeze
RB D’Ernest Johnson
This is no surprise and Johnson was a late, mid training camp signing once Kalel Mullings and Nick Singleton had injuries pop up. I thought Johnson was really good considering the situation. He ran hard, made some nice plays, scored two preseason touchdowns and gave Titans fans an iconic Choppa City Juke TD celebration, honoring Chris Johnson Saturday night for his lasting memory. – Stanley
CB Keydrain Calligan
Calligan was one of our losers from the final preseason game as he gave up the 97 yard touchdown on the Bears first play from scrimmage. For what it’s worth, we both had Keydrain cut before the preseason finale, but that played took him from cooked to overdone. I thought Calligan had a strong spring, but dropped off in camp. Will be curious to see if the Titans keep just five corners or if another name emerges to make the roster. – Stanley

The first semi-surprise cut of the day is Bryce Oliver, who was seen as the leading competitor for the WR6 role. His special teams prowess as a gunner once made him a core special teamer on this roster, but apparently that ability is no longer valued the same way. Does this mean only five receivers to begin the season? Or has Xavier Restrepo successfully grinded his way on the team?

QB Will Levis
This Tennessee Titans-Will Levis divorce has been a long time in the making at this point, and it’s a shame that it ends the way that it’s ending. But there has been no player on this roster in my time covering the team that has been more in need of a change of scenery than Will is today. This relationship just has not been working for sometime, and the physically gifted young quarterback will be at his best starting fresh somewhere else.
