With the Transfer Portal opening this week, we have already seen a long list of talented college football players announce they have entered to find a new home. One of the more gifted players to announce their intentions was former Arizona cornerback Tacario Davis, who contemplated entering the 2025 NFL Draft initially.

At 6-4 and 190 pounds, Davis is a very unique defensive back with a ton of size, and rare movement skills. Over the last two seasons, Davis has recorded 69 total tackles, one interception, and 21 pass breakups. As you would expect, the market for Davis is robust.

Here are a couple of schools that could make a lot of sense for Davis to eventually land at. The suitors will be plentiful, but these three could provide an ideal fit.

Oregon Ducks

Oregon is set to lose several cornerbacks this offseason, including starters Jabbar Muhammad and Nikko Reed. With the Ducks previously playing in the Pac 12 conference, they should be very familiar with Davis. The position need will certainly be there, and Davis gives them a talent at the position they haven’t had since Christian Gonzalez. It seems like a pretty natural fit if the interest is there.

USC Trojans

Jaylin Smith has been a really underrated cornerback for the Trojans this season, but he will be off to the NFL after this season. There will be a clear need to find answers this offseason outside, and Davis would be their top option instantly. It’s been a few years since USC has been stellar on the outside, and the former Arizona star would be the most talented cornerback they have had in some time.

Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia cornerback room they have had this season is one of the worst we have seen in several years. There is little question that that unit needs an overhaul when the season is over, and the loss of AJ Harris to Penn State this past offseason looks really rough. Davis brings the size, movement skills, and press man instincts that the Bulldogs have typically coveted.
