The Oklahoma Sooners are still recruiting well despite this being a tumultuous season for the crimson and cream. They are very much so one of the biggest schools in the country when it comes to their football program, and that won't stop. Even in a down year, Oklahoma is still a place a lot of recruits want to call home, and who could blame them?
Despite this bad season, the Sooners still have a top-15 recruiting class in all four recruiting sites. They are snagging blue chips left and right and could continue to do that for their 2026 class as well.
They now have a legit chance to snag one of the best players in the country from that 2026 class — a player who has legit speed and can be used as a tool and weapon all over the field.
Brandon Arrington, a top-10 recruit in the 2026 class, and listed as an ATH, or athlete, is scheduled to have a visit with the Sooners, along with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, USC Trojans, Oregon Ducks, Texas A&M, Alabama Crimson Tide.
Arrington is 6'2", 180, and has elite speed that any school would love. He ran a near 10.2 seconds in the 100-meter dash. With some of the offensive issues the Sooners are facing this season, in two years, they will need the speed that Arrington possesses.
Arrington, an elite two-way athlete, already visited Oklahoma before for their 'Sooners Under the Stars' event, which is kind of a camp and kind of a visit. He mentioned he was blown away by what he saw, and another visit could go a long way.
The Sooners would love to have him, as the elite prospect has offers from every school you could think of.
