Sooners have quickly made up for what they just lost, and it’s going to come at a better time than before
The Sooners have landed 2027 WR Tra’Von Hall.
Earlier this week, as soon as Lane Kiffin took the job to be the head coach of the LSU Tigers, former Oklahoma Sooners commit Brayden Allen decommitted. Allen started his recruitment as a Tulane commit, flipped to Oklahoma, made it seem as if he was locked in with OU, and is not expected to commit to LSU. That’s all fine and dandy, though, as OU has four other receivers in the 2026 class.
Oklahoma has already replaced Allen; however, it’s coming at a much better time for the Sooners. This time, they’ve got 2027 wide receiver Tra’Von Hall committed. The Sooners didn’t waste any time getting a WR back, but for a class that they need one more. Hall is the ninth commit in OU’s 2027 class, and the sixth offensive player to pledge.
Sooners’ 2027 class is even more elite offensively with addition of Hall
Hall picked Oklahoma over the Ole Miss Rebels, Auburn Tigers, and Vanderbilt Commodores. He’s 6-0, 180 pounds, which is good size for an SEC wide receiver. Hall doesn’t have a ranking from the recruiting sites yet, but it should come soon now that the Sooners have him. They needed this for their 2027 class, which is on fire.
Oklahoma has maybe the best 2027 class in the country, as it has flipped between the No. 1 and No. 2 classes. It has elite five-star offensive tackle Cooper Hackett, along with four stars spread throughout.
The Sooners only have three defensive players, as that could start to be a bit of a focus moving forward. However, the offensive side of the ball is the worst side right now. That could always change, but it’s understandable why the Sooners are emphasizing getting great players on offense.
