The Indianapolis Colts’ season truly fell apart after their loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14. The team showed that they were not ready to waive the white flags and call it quits on the 2025 season. The season isn’t quite revived, but I’d say it’s more on life support, rather than being dead in the water. They shocked the entire league by signing retired QB Philip Rivers.
This makes their Week 15 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks matter tremendously more than it did Sunday after the loss. This could mean nothing, and it could even backfire remarkably for the Colts. No one can deny the fact that this makes the Colts must-watch TV; either Rivers comes in and miraculously saves the season (doubtful), or it’s a train wreck that you cannot help but watch from start to finish. So check out this week’s broadcast facts to make sure you don’t miss a second of it.

Will Philip Rivers actually make his debut on Sunday vs. the Seahawks?
The Colts’ choice to sign Rivers to their practice squad isn’t some publicity stunt. They truly believe there’s a chance he is their best option to start at QB going forward. They are going to see what he looks like in practice this week, but head coach Shane Steichen has made it clear. There is a real chance Rivers is under center when the Colts take the field in Week 15 vs. the Seahawks.
Will this work? Probably not, but you certainly can’t say the Colts aren’t giving it they’re all. They don’t own their first rounder in 2026 (or 2027) thanks to the trade for Sauce Gardner. So, they have no choice but to put their best foot forward and try to win every single game left on the schedule. I think Rivers needs to be the odds-on favorite to be the starter in week 15, mainly due to Riley Leonard dealing with a knee injury. If you can watch this game and Rivers is the QB, I think you would be making a mistake not watching this experiment play out from start to finish.
