The Ohio State Buckeyes have added 13 players from the transfer portal so far, and they’re not done.

Players have until the end of Friday to hop in the portal if they’re looking to find a new school, and so far, the Buckeyes have lost 30 players. Ohio State is dealing with mostly back-end players leaving the program, though several key depth players have also left.

Ohio State appears to be closing in on its 14th addition via the portal.

Buckeyes predicted to land former LSU Tigers wideout Kyle Parker

Ohio State wasted no time hiring former LSU wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton to take over the same position that Brian Hartline coached in Columbus for nearly a decade. Don’t be surprised if Hankton brings a player he’s familiar with to Columbus with him. On3’s Pete Nakos has predicted that Ohio State will be the school to sign WR Kyle Parker.

Parker was a four-star wideout out of Texas in the class of 2023 who spent three years with LSU. He played in a combined 8 games in his first two seasons with the Tigers, then made an impact as a redshirt sophomore in 2025, playing 13 games. Parker caught 31 passes for 330 yards and four touchdowns for LSU this past season.

Ohio State has added former UTSA WR Devin McCuinn from the transfer portal already, and the hope is that he can provide some explosiveness for the offense. Parker is a 5-10 wideout who can win deep, is a problem with the ball in his hands, and gives the Buckeyes depth after losing Mylan Graham and Quincy Porter to the portal

The Buckeyes are in a great spot at wide receiver, returning Jeremiah Smith and Brandon Inniss. The expectation is that incoming freshman Chris Henry Jr. will man the other boundary spot for Ohio State.

The Buckeyes need to hold off Auburn in its portal recruitment of Parker, and they look to be closing in on another addition if they can do so.
