The Ohio State Buckeyes will play their spring game this weekend and with the scrimmage going on at Ohio Stadium it’ll be a key recruiting day.

Ohio State football will welcome several visitors in the class of 2027 and beyond on Saturday. There’s a key development around one visitor who is expected to end up in Ohio State’s 2027 haul

Ohio State predicted to land four-star OL over Georgia, Miami, and others

Central Catholic (PA) OT Jimmy Kalis has been on campus at Ohio State once this spring already and he’ll be back Saturday. On3 recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong has placed a prediction for Kalis to land with the Buckeyes.

“Ohio State is high on my list because they have been consistent with me since day one,” Kalis said recently via Wiltfong. “They develop offensive line at a high level and take pride in getting players to the next level.”

Kalis is the No. 31 offensive tackle and No. 308 player nationally, according to 247 Sports Composite. The 6-foot-6 offensive tackle is considering Georgia, LSU, Clemson, and Miami along with the Buckeyes. Kalis is arguably the top offensive line target the Buckeyes are after.

Ohio State has three offensive commitments so far with four-star OT Kellen Wymer, three-star OT Mason Wilt, and three-star OT Brody McNeel. Ohio State is big on cross-training and multiple of these players will end up guards. The positions listed by recruiting services along the offensive line aren’t always the most important.

With Kalis on campus Saturday it wouldn’t be a surprise if he commits then. If not, there are more visits to happen for Kalis and the Buckeyes will be in a good position for when he does decide.
