Georgia Bulldogs national champion head coach Kirby Smart spoke glowingly about Venables’ defensive system at SEC Media Days, specifically in the context of former Oklahoma cornerback Gentry Williams, who transferred to Georgia.
“When you take guys from my Brent Venables defense, you know what you’re getting,” Smart said. “They understand leverages, coverages.”
