Recruiting insider is sticking with his pick on where Ohio State football recruiting target RB David Gabriel Georges will commit
Ohio State’s top recruiting target is no other than five-star RB David Gabriel Georges. Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong is sticking with his gut on where Gabriel Georges will land.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are in a big-time recruiting battle for their No. 1 target David Gabriel Georges.
Ohio State’s pursuit of the five-star running back from Baylor School (TN) looks to be between the Buckeyes and the Tennessee Volunteers. Gabriel Georges is set to make a commitment on July 22 following all of his official visits being made.
Gabriel Georges will take an official visit to Columbus on May 29, and ahead of it happening there’s a lot of smoke on Ohio State being his college choice.
Recruiting insider sticks with Ohio State as the choice for David Gabriel Georges
Steve Wiltfong of Rivals gave the latest update on the five-star running back from Tennessee, and it continues to sound good for Ohio State’s chances.
“I’m still riding with my prediction in favor of Ohio State for Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School five-star running back David Gabriel Georges,” Wiltfong wrote recently. “With the way the Buckeyes have developed and showcased running backs, to the consistency of the program, to the competitive NIL opportunities, Ohio State checks the most boxes and is the best fit.”
According to 247 Sports Composite, Gabriel Georges is the No. 10 overall player and No. 2 running back in the class of 2027. Carlos Locklyn has been recruiting the 6-foot, 215-pound Gabriel Georges since the Ohio State running backs coach was at Oregon. The relationship the two have is playing a key role in Ohio State’s chances.
David Gabriel Georges would be a class-shaping move for the Buckeyes
Ohio State has the No. 9 class in 2027 at this point, per 247 Sports. The Buckeyes have 12 commitments and more could be on the way soon with key summer months ahead. Gabriel Georges would be the top-flight running back that Ohio State has wanted to land here recently. The five-star back would be an instant contributor at Ohio State in the rotation.
The official visit on May 29 is going to be key, then Gabriel Georges will take officials to Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Georgia all in June. The July 22 commitment date is one everyone has circled in Columbus.
