The Green Bay Packers have plenty of names on their injury list, and the timelines vary widely. Some players are about to return, others need a few more weeks on injured reserve, and four are already out for the 2026 season. The headliner is edge defender Micah Parsons, who is working his way back from a torn ACL.

So, let’s discuss where every injured Packers player stands for the rest of the season.

Players about to return

The Packers expect Micah Parsons to return to practice this week, opening his 21-day practice window. Green Bay will probably use the full three weeks to get him ready. The expectation is that Parsons will return to games in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Guard Travis Glover suffered a knee injury, but Green Bay opted not to place him on IR. That decision signals Glover won’t be out for much longer. Nonetheless, the Packers don’t necessarily know whether he’ll start once he’s back, because they have a plan in place with Aaron Banks and Laken Tomlinson at guard.

Linebacker Zaire Franklin suffered a hairline fracture in his leg. Like Glover, he avoided injured reserve. Franklin has already missed two games, and the team expects him back relatively soon.

Center Sean Rhyan suffered a high ankle sprain, which usually takes from three to six weeks of recovery. Rhyan wasn’t placed on IR, so the Packers likely project that Rhyan will be on the short end of this timeline.

Players who need more time

Interior offensive lineman Jacob Monk landed on injured reserve with a quad injury. The severity is unclear, but IR rules require a four-game absence. He has missed one game so far, so Green Bay has to wait at least three more before Monk can return.

Wide receiver and kick returner Skyy Moore is closer. He has missed three games on IR with an ankle injury, so he must sit out one more, this week’s game against the New England Patriots. After that, he could return.

Defensive tackle Jonathan Ford is in the same situation with a calf injury. He has missed three games and could get back against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10.

Eligible, but no clear timeline

Two players are already eligible to come off IR, yet Green Bay hasn’t moved to activate them.

Running back Chris Brooks has an ankle injury and has already missed the mandatory games. However, the Packers haven’t opened his practice window. It could be a longer-term issue for Brooks, so eligibility doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be back over the next few weeks.

Defensive tackle Warren Brinson suffered a severe groin injury after missing time earlier this season with a calf injury. He’s expected to miss a little more time, and while there’s a fair expectation he could return during the season, the timing is unclear.

Hard to predict

Tight end Luke Musgrave is on the physically unable to perform list with a neck injury he suffered during the offseason program. Head coach Matt LaFleur said that there’s a possibility that Musgrave comes back this season, but it’s unclear if that will happen. The Packers are still evaluating Musgrave’s recovery before making a final determination.

Edge defender Collin Oliver is the other question mark. He suffered a calf injury during training camp and opened the season on injured reserve. The Packers have never released the extent of the injury. Soft tissue injuries generally don’t take long, but Oliver has a history with them. A hamstring injury cost him essentially his entire rookie season, and he played just one game, the Week 18 matchup against the Vikings.

He is technically eligible to return from IR. Still, there isn’t much clarity around his situation at this point.

Out for the season

Four Packers players won’t return in 2026. Right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele suffered a torn patellar tendon. Last year, he suffered a partial tear, missed the final stretch of the season, tried to return, and got hurt again. This time, the injury came in his first game back against the New York Jets.

Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave both suffered torn Achilles tendons. Wide receiver Jayden Reed also suffered a season-ending neck injury against the Jets.
