NFL insider proves the Steelers are among one of four teams with serious interest in drafting polarizing quarterback prospect

Jaxson Dart is one of the more interesting quarterback prospects in recent memory.

Some people love him and view him as a top 10 pick, others think he's more becoming of a third-round selection.

But the truth is, the QB market is always inflationary, and Dart will likely be gone after night one.

And it looks like the Pittsburgh Steelers could be one of the teams he ends up with…

Steelers heavily linked to Jaxson Dart

"I'm not sure they love the idea of doing this veteran quarterback thing year after year," Rapoport said on a recent episode of the Insiders. "They would like to get a young guy. They would like to get someone who is worth it. They would like to get someone they could grow with. The Steelers are among the teams who spent a lot of time with Jaxson Dart. The Saints have also spent a ton of time with him. The Giants and Browns those are the teams… There's no guarantee you get him in the back half of the first round."

Some believe the Steelers are just doing their due diligence with Dart, studying all of the options at the position. But if you meet with a player at the NFL Combine, visit him at his Pro Day, and then host him to a day at your facility, you're doing more than your due diligence, you're interested.

Part of that quarterback interest hinges on Aaron Rodgers. It has become increasingly clear that without or with Aaron Rodgers on the roster in 16 days, time, Pittsburgh will consider a quarterback in round one

"If Aaron Rodgers is gonna play football in 2025, it is going to be for the Pittsburgh Steelers," said Ian Rapoport on NFL Network's Good Morning Football on Monday. "Would not be surprised if there was an announcement from him over the next couple weeks. It has to be theoretically before the draft, because if the Steelers don't get an answer by late April, they will likely draft a quarterback." "In fact, they may draft a quarterback anyway."

Is that QB Jaxson Dart, Jalen Milroe, or maybe even Shedeur Sanders? Time will tell which signal caller, if any, makes their way to the Steelers in round one.
