Buffalo should be able to land multiple players who can make an immediate impact. One of them could potential be Ole Miss cornerback Trey Amos, who is meeting with the Bills on a top-30 visit on Wednesday, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
What is a top-30 visit?
A top-30 visit denotes one of the 30 prospect visits allowed for teams during the pre-draft period. The Bills host prospects varying from potential first-round selections to those who go undrafted, providing them a glimpse into NFL life in Buffalo. Although no on-field workouts will occur, teams can utilize this opportunity to conduct meetings with coaching staff for film analysis, perform physical exams with team doctors, tour the facilities, and more.
How does Amos fit with the Bills?
Buffalo could really use a CB who can play well in man coverage when the situation calls for it, and Amos brings that to the table. He has prototypical size at 6-foot-1 and is one of the most physical defensive backs in the draft. Like many young CBs, Amos needs to work on his tackling, but that is coachable as long as he has the willingness to do it.
CB is arguably the Bills' biggest need remaining need, and they could get him in the second round. That works out well in their favor because they have two second-round picks and could truly go with the best player available with their first-round pick. Our A to Z Sports Mock Draft Database projects Amos to be selected between Nos. 38-94. Buffalo' second-round picks come in at Nos. 56 and 62.
Buffalo Bills set to host former All-Pro who has previously worked with Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott on a free agent visit
A potential fantastic addition.
