The Lady Vols landed a key transfer forward from a conference rival on Wednesday.
On3's Talia Goodman noted on Wednesday that Tennessee was viewed as the leader for LSU Tigers transfer forward Jersey Wolfenbarger.
Goodman essentially called her shot by suggesting that Wolfenbarger may have already committed to the Lady Vols.
"Sources have indicated that Tennessee leads for the 6-5 junior and she may have already committed to the Lady Vols," wrote Goodman earlier on Wednesday.
It wasn't long before Goodman's intel proved to be correct as Wolfenbarger announced her commitment to the Lady Vols on Wednesday evening.
Wolfenbarger, 6-foot-5 from Fort Smith, AR, started her college career with the Arkansas Razorbacks before transferring to LSU ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The talented forward averaged 4.6 points per game and 3.4 rebounds per game for LSU last season.
Wolfenbarger will join UCLA transfer Janiah Barker on Rocky Top.
Barker, who committed to the Lady Vols on Monday, made some interesting comments about Wolfenbarger's previous school (LSU) earlier this year.
"I don't like LSU, if I'm being honest," said Barker.
The Lady Vols reached the Sweet 16 in Kim Caldwell's first season at the helm. Tennessee will obviously be hoping to make an even deeper tournament run in 2025-26.
