Broncos land dynamic North Carolina RB Omarion Hampton in a new mock draft
"The Broncos saw their young rookie quarterback Bo Nix post a surprising amount of success in year one despite completely embarrassing running back play. If they could get more burst, athleticism, and production after contact at running back they might be a dangerous offensive attack in 2025. Omarion Hampton exploded from day one at North Carolina with over 100 yards in his first career game and nearly 4.5 yards after contact last season. He is the only other likely running back to sneak into the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft beside Ashton Jeanty."

Bo Nix had a fantastic rookie season in Denver, but if the team wants to get the most out of him, they have to get a more consistent and simply better run game. If they could land North Carolina's Omarion Hampton, that would be a giant step in the right direction. Hampton has real home run ability out of the backfield but can also hurt defenses over time through the tackles.
He would project as a day-one starter who could be a three-down back in Sean Payton's offense. If he's on the board at pick 20, I think this is a no-brainer type of selection for the Broncos. I seriously doubt he makes it to them, though, but I wonder if the team would consider trading up to land him due to how great of a fit he would be at one of the team's biggest roster needs.
