In the NFL, these players are all machines. All they know is to eat, sleep, and breathe football. They train, practice, and play football non-stop, and that's especially true when it comes to the guys who are playing the hardest positions like quarterback.

For the Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, we all know that he works relentlessly during the offseason. Last season we saw it with Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs, who is now on the New England Patriots. He gathered his guys, whether it was overseas, in Houston, or in Los Angeles, and did throwing sessions for what seemed like the entire offseason.

And that's a major reason why Stroud was as successful as he was this early in his career. The guy, as a rookie, was having an MVP-like season. Sure, he fell off in his sophomore year, but you can attribute that to former offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik and the terrible offensive line. That's also why he was fired and former Los Angeles Rams tight ends coach Nick Caley was hired as the new OC.

But sometimes you need a break from the sport since you're doing it basically non-stop. Sometimes you need a new hobby in the offseason during the little time that you aren't training. And, maybe Stroud has found that, or maybe he is just doing something to do something. Either way, he was seen in another part of Texas doing something that could be a pretty fun hobby and something that could definitely take his mind off of football.

Texans QB C.J. Stroud seen in Austin, Texas fishing

A fan who works with the business, or charter, whatever it appears to be, recorded Stroud getting on a fishing boat with what appears to be some friends, in Austin, Texas, on the river.

Stroud is from California, from outside the Los Angeles area, so maybe that area is big on fishing, or maybe it's not. But, it's certainly big in Texas, and I'm sure he has come to realize that very quickly.

But truthfully, this may not even matter at all. This may not be a new hobby, and it may just be a reason to write about C.J. Stroud during the slow part of the offseason, something I haven't gotten to do in a while. Or, maybe he is taking on fishing.
