The Las Vegas Raiders are coming into 2025 with the intention of simply getting better. They don't plan on winning the Super Bowl, but making the wildcard would be nice. They don't plan on beating out the Kansas City Chiefs for the division, but beating out the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers would be nice.

But, to get better at all, they have to put in the work this offseason. That's where it all starts. Pete Carroll, who won a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks, knows what he is doing. He prepares for the season in the offseason like no other, and that includes all of the things that happen before training camp.

So, at mandatory minicamp, the Raiders were getting to work. And even better, they were coming with the energy.

"Yeah, I mean you've got to be the Energizer Bunny," Devin White said. "Somebody's got to do it. If I'm making a play or they're making a play, I want to be hyped, and that has always been my MO. Just get the guys in the game, and everybody feeds off one another's energy. And even the other day, we watched a video with Steve Nash on just how he was always high-fiving guys, bringing guys together, and it's just like electricity.

"It's just static running through the organization. So, I'm going to make sure that I bring it, and hopefully, they'll feed off my energy and they'll bring it. And when they're not bringing it, I can pick them up and vice versa, because every day is not going to be my best day, because it's really hot out here. So, you've got to make sure that you're in shape. You've got to make sure that you're hydrated and that you stand above level."

The Raiders had a great defense in the last two years and a terrible offense in that same span. So, the offense clearly is the biggest wildcard with this team in 2025. But that doesn't mean the defense doesn't need to come to work every day like they have something to prove. The defense is likely going to be the heartbeat of this team, so it's important that, even in minicamp, they come in with the energy and set the tone for the rest of the team.

A guy like Devin White, who has won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and been around a Super Bowl team with the Philadelphia Eagles, knows what it takes. So, him being the Energizer Bunny, as he said, is awesome for the defense.

He's just trying to make sure they stay ready.
