Chargers extend Bradley Bozeman
According to the organization, the Chargers agreed to terms on multi-year contract extension with center Bradley Bozeman.
Bozeman was a key piece for a Chargers offense that had the second-fewest turnovers in the league in the regular season. A seven-year NFL veteran, he has appeared in 118 career games (98 starts), including the postseason, for the Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Chargers. — Chargers
Bozeman provides experience and continuity for a Chargers offensive line that has seen constant changes with Justin Herbert under center. The continuity aspect on the OL is an underrate piece for teams, and Jim Harbaugh clearly values that for his QB.
According to Pro Football Focus, Bozeman was middle of the pack when it comes to overall blocking grade. He is a leader in the locker room, and they are hoping he produces a bit more consistently in pass blocking.
Impact on Justin Herbert
The Chargers offensive line last season found some growth, particularly at the offensive tackle position. Meanwhile, inside, there were some struggles at times from Trey Pipkins, Zion Johnson, among others.
Bozeman appeared in all but 11 offensive snaps for LA in the regular season last season. He was able to stay healthy, and availability is the best ability when it comes to getting into an offensive groove upfront.
Bringing Bozeman back provides Herbert with more familiarity going forward with his offensive. We'll see if they look for upgrades elsewhere on the interior OL, though. That should be a goal for them, either in free agency or day two of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Not to mention, the Chargers are reportedly in on veteran running back Najee Harris. While not flashy, he would provide a great baseline for the position. The team moved on from Gus Edwards on Monday morning, and JK Dobbins remains a free agent.

No matter what – Los Angeles is trying to help out Herbert on multiple levels. Now, they just need to add an impactful free-agent WR this week.
Chargers veteran turns heel during NFL free agency, expected to join crosstown rival
The Los Angeles Chargers are digging their heels in, along with the rest of the NFL, for this week of free agency madness. The mania has already begun, and a notable Chargers defensive lineman is expected to join the other team in LA. Poona Ford expected to join Rams According to Jeremy Fowler, the Rams […]
