Former Tennessee Vols guard Dalton Knecht shouldn't have any doubts about his Los Angeles Lakers teammates feel about him after Tuesday night.

Knecht, who was part of a failed trade last month that was going to see the former Vol land with the Charlotte Hornets, was fouled hard by New Orleans Pelicans forward Bruce Brown during the Lakers' win on Tuesday.

Numerous Lakers players, including Luka Doncic, immediately came to Knecht's defense.

It's been an awkward month for Knecht. He went from thinking the Lakers had shipped him off to the NBA version of Siberia (sorry, Charlotte), to returning to a team that was prepared to play the rest of the season without him.

After Tuesday night, any lingering awkwardness should be completely gone. There's no doubt that Knecht's Los Angeles teammates have his back.

Knecht, by the way, played 26 minutes in the Lakers' 136-115 win against the Pelicans. The former Vol scored 13 points while securing four rebounds and dishing out three assists. Knecht has seen extended action over the last couple of games with Austin Reaves out due to a calf injury.
