And soon after Graham officially announced his retirement on Tuesday, March 18, Johnson took to social media to make that obvious known, and to confirm that he would handle the locker room from here on out.
"Don't worry I got ya'll," Johnson said in an X post with the iconic scene of Will Smith from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air standing alone in an empty room.
The good news is that while Graham is officially calling it quits, Johnson is going to be around a lot longer than expected after he agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension through 2027 on Monday.
Thanks to the new deal, Johnson gets $8 million over the next two years, and an additional $30 million in guarantees, making for an earnings total of $48 million over the next two seasons.
Johnson's veteran presence will be pivotal now more than ever after the Eagles had to let a handful of key players from their Super Bowl LIX-winning team walk in free agency.
As for Graham, he won't be putting on a jersey again but still plans to stick around the NovaCare Complex.
"I said I want to sit down and talk with Mr. Lurie and have some dinner with them," Graham said during his retirement presser. "So, we're going to do that and figure out what I can do to be a part of what's going on. Because I feel like, as you know, we've got some good stuff brewing right now. And I want to make sure that I can be a help in whatever it is that I do. Of course, I want to be creative. I don't have to be all in one basket have everything all in one but just kind of move around. I don't want to just cold turkey leave that game because I love it."
