Famous comedian, actor, and Philly native Kevin Hart is a massive Philadelphia Eagles fan, so much so that he said he went and bought two real eagles before Super Bowl LIX.
He also named the eagles after quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley.
While appearing on Hot Ones this week, Barkley shared his first reaction to Hart's ultimate fandom purchase.
"I hope that's just PR, and he's doing a really good job," Barkley said. "I hope he did not spend that money on eagles."
Hart, who said he spent "top dollar" on the eagles joked during his Hot Ones appearance that they teamed up and pulled him off the ground.
"Them eagles are strong," Hart said. "I don't know if you have been picked up by an eagle, I have. They picked me up from the back and you got to tell them, 'Put me down. I'm dead.'"
While Hart was likely joking, Barkley said it would not surprise him if that happened since he is so small.
"If that's real I think I've got to go meet them. I think I've got to go spend some time with them," Barkley said. "Yeah, gotta go take a picture with Saquon, for sure."
Barkley will need to get used to having animals and more named after him following the kind of 2024 season he had with the Birds.
He finished the year rushing for 2,005 yards on 345 attempts and 13 touchdowns. He also hauled in 33 receptions for 278 receiving yards and two more scores. Those numbers were enough to earn him the 2024 NFL's Offensive Player of the Year award and help the Eagles reach and win Super Bowl LIX.
Such a successful season led to the Eagles inking him to a two-year, $41.2 million contract extension. The new deal now makes him the highest-paid running back in NFL history and keeps him locked in through the 2028 season.
