Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell and her staff have a tough task ahead of them this week

Caldwell and her assistants have to prepare Tennessee for a matchup against the Texas Longhorns in the Sweet 16 while also navigating the NCAA transfer portal, which officially opens this week.

One player that the Lady Vols could be in the mix for is Wisconsin transfer Serah Williams, the current No. 1 player in On3's transfer rankings.

Williams, 6-foot-4 from Brooklyn, NY, is an extremely talented player who averaged 19.2 points per game, 9.8 rebounds per game, and 2.3 blocks per game this past season.

“Thank you Coach Mo and coaching staff for the past 3 years,” wrote Williams upon announcing her decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal. “Thank you Wisconsin and the Badger community for all of your support. I'm super blessed and grateful. With that being said, l've decided to enter the transfer portal."

Williams' decision came just days after Marisa Moseley resigned as Wisconsin's head coach.

On3's Talia Goodman noted on Monday that Tennessee is a team to keep an eye on in the battle for Williams.

Baylor, Maryland, LSU, and UConn are also in the mix for Williams.

You never know how transfer visits/decisions will go. One offer or visit could change the entire trajectory of a player's transfer journey. Williams would certainly be a great addition for Tennessee, which is a program clearly on the rise under Caldwell. But we'll have to see how things play in the coming weeks/days before we'll know if the Lady Vols have a legit shot to land Williams.
