Los Angeles Lakers fans are a bit miffed with head coach JJ Redick and it's all because of former Tennessee Vols guard Dalton Knecht.

Knecht has seen his minutes dwindle in recent weeks, averaging just 6.3 minutes per game from March 22 to March 31.

On Thursday night, Knecht saw his minutes completely evaporate as he never saw the court in the Lakers' 123-116 loss to the Golden State Warriors.

The Lakers are 3-4 since Knecht's minutes have been drastically reduced (Knecht averaged 26 minutes per game in the 11 games before his minutes were reduced…Los Angeles went 6-5 during that stretch).

Lakers fans made their voices heard on social media after the loss to Golden State on Thursday night, questioning why Redick didn't giving Knecht any playing time against the Warriors.

Knecht, like most young players, has some flaws (specifically when it comes to defense). But he's shown that he's a dynamic player when gets a chance (Knecht scored 32 points against the Denver Nuggets less than a month ago).

Redick's recent usage of Knecht doesn't bode well for the former Vol's chances of playing a key role in the NBA Playoffs, but maybe the outside noise will lead to the Lakers realizing that leaving their rookie first round pick on the bench isn't a great idea.
