The Kansas City Chiefs couldn't get the job done on Sunday in the Super Bowl to get the three-peat, and, that's okay. You don't have to be mad at this team, because the fact they are even in this position is pretty wild to think about in the first place. But, we can all agree that this is not the showing we thought we would see from the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

The Philadelphia Eagles kicked the Chiefs ass. There is no other way around it. They got beat down on both sides of the ball, and it almost looked as if all of the extra games over the last seven years finally caught up to some of these players.

To put things lightly, the Chiefs were not themselves, and honestly, it starts with Patrick Mahomes. He wasn't the worst player on the Chiefs, maybe someone on the offensive line, but he wasn't good the entire first half of the game. And, he will be the first to tell you that.

"Um, yeah, credit to the Eagles," Mahomes said to start his post game press conference. "They played better than us from start to finish. We didn't start how we wanted to, obviously the turnovers hurt. I just have to, take all of the blame for that.

"Those early turnovers changed the momentum of the game. They capitalize on them. That's 14 points that I kind of gave them. It's hard to come back from that in the Super Bowl. I just didn't play to my standard and I have to be better next time."

The quarterback runs the show, and Mahomes does not look like himself. He made some pretty errant throws that, while yes he was under pressure, we still usually see him make. The interceptions were terrible, and then there were a few times he threw some checkdowns in the dirt.

And, sure, you think checkdowns don't matter much, but you never know if that player can make the defender miss a tackle or two. It's the little things in this game, and the Chiefs just didn't handle business.
