Despite going 14-3 in 2024, the Minnesota Vikings still aren't getting the respect they deserve.
The early odds for the winner of Super Bowl 60 are out via DraftKings Sportsbook and the Vikings are currently +4000 to win their first Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2025.
Vikings have +4000 odds to win Super Bowl LX
This shouldn't come as a major surprise for the Vikings. They were massively overlooked last year as well, ranking among the bottom of the league in Super Bowl futures odds. In fact, last year, they had the same odds to win the Super Bowl. Those climbed into the low teens before the playoffs began.
Right now, the Vikings are tied for 15th in the NFL with +4000 odds. You would think with only five teams under +1000 odds, the Vikings would be one of them or close to it after their excellent season. Instead, they are tied with the Chicago Bears and barely ahead of the Dallas Cowboys.
What is more surprising about the Super Bowl odds is that some of the teams are ahead of them. The Green Bay Packers are currently tied for seventh in odds at +1800, a team the Vikings handily beat twice.
This is the entire list ahead of the Vikings in Super Bowl LX odds.
- Philadelphia Eagles: +600
- Kansas City Chiefs: +700
- Buffalo Bills: +700
- Baltimore Ravens: +700
- Detroit Lions: +900
- San Francisco 49ers: +1500
- Washington Commanders: +1800
- Green Bay Packers: +1800
- Cincinnati Bengals: +1800
- Los Angeles Rams: +2800
- Los Angeles Chargers: +2800
- Houston Texans: +3000
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers: +3500
- Denver Broncos: +3500
The sportsbooks can keep doubting the Vikings like everyone else has. Head coach Kevin O'Connell is 34-17 in his three seasons as a head coach and will be primed to have a better team in 2025 than he did last season. It will be easier to field a good team without the burden of $72+ million in dead cap space.
Minnesota Vikings NFL Draft strategy in first round could focus on premium position that hasn’t been considered previously
It’s quite an interesting scenario
