Getting drafted into the NFL has all of the perks to it. For example, many people know who you are, and you can go to special places like the Kentucky Derby, and meet celebrities and other NFL players.
However, if you're Ashton Gillotte, the Kansas City Chiefs' new defensive end, you've gotten to do that before you were drafted and before you even knew what team you could likely go to. And then, you get to meet one of your future teammates.
The Kentucky Derby is one of the biggest American Sports spectacles in the world. Now, no, it's not like the Super Bowl or the Masters, or anything like that, but it's certainly something that people from all over the world travel to see. For Gillotte, he was already there last season because he played football for Louisville, which is where Churchill Downs is, the location of the Kentucky Derby.

"Yeah, I went to the derby last year, actually," Gillotte told reporters I had the full experience. Actually, so, I set very responsible limits for the day, I lost it all, but then I actually won it all back, so that was a very good day. And, I actually met a Chief there, because Kelce was there."
So, in a way you know that Gillotte was through the roof to become a Chiefs, not onlyu because he is joining a dynasty, but because he is getting to play with the greatest tight end of all time, in who he already met last year.
