NASHVILLE – It has now been over a week since the Tennessee Titans fired general manager Ran Carthon and the organization is beginning to zero in on making a new hire.

The new GM will come to Tennessee with some cap space to play with and the 1st overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, but will ultimately be answering to President of Football Operations Chad Brinker.

A list of finalists has already been announced, but when can Titans fans expect to have a new GM?

The Titans have spent this week conducting a second round of interviews. Six candidates were brought to Nashville in person for a sit down with an Amy Adams Strunk, Chad Brinker, and head coach Brian Callahan.

Ed Dodds (Colts AGM) and Terrance Gray (Bills player personnel director) had interviews on Tuesday. Mike Borgonzi (Chiefs AGM) and Ian Cunningham (Bears AGM) were in on Wednesday. John Spytek (Bucs AGM) and Jon-Eric Sullivan (Packers VP of player personnel) wrapped things up on Thursday.

Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reported earlier in the week that it was “possible the Titans name a new GM by the weekend,” and I’m here to tell you that I expect a new GM by the end of the weekend, if not sooner.

As of Thursday afternoon, a hire could come at any point. Especially with Sullivan (my prediction to get hired) having his interview on Thursday. He may leave the building with an offer.

I don’t expect the Titans to beat around the bush and wait around. Now that the second round of interviews is complete, a hire should be imminent. We won’t make it through the weekend without having the next General Manager announced. Head on a swivel, folks .
