The New Orleans Saints are seemingly closing in on their next head coach in Philadelphia Eagles OC Kellen Moore. If that's the case, we could see them focus on that side of the ball this offseason when it comes to adding talent.

In the latest two-round mock draft from A to Z Sports, the Saints go offense-first to kick off their 2025 draft class.

Saints take LSU OL in round one

9. New Orleans Saints: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

The Saints could reach on a QB here or even target an offensive weapon, but the best player available also happens to be someone who they didn't have to travel far to watch in college. LSU's Will Campbell is viewed to be the consensus top offensive lineman in this year's class. And while the Saints are stuck with Derek Carr this pick could help them keep him healthy and give them the best chance at competing in their division while they wait for their QB of the future.

Campbell is generally advertised as the top offensive lineman in this year's class. There are some length concerns regarding his future at tackle, but many scouts believe he can overcome those as a pro.

This choice does make sense for New Orleans, too. Trevor Penning made some strides in 2024, but there was not quite enough to ignore the tackle spot. Even then, one of Penning or Campbell may be a great option at guard in the future.

In New Orleans' scenario, offensive line is still a need, and with how the board fell, this selection would not surprise me for the Saints, especially if they hire Moore as HC. Philly has built their success through the trenches.

Saints get SEC QB in round two

40. New Orleans Saints: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

The Saints seem to be on the verge of hiring Kellen Moore to be their next head coach. One of his jobs will be finding the team's QB of the future. They aren't in range to land one of the top two in this year's class, but Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart is viewed as the best of the best options in this class. I was told by one NFL scout in attendance at the Senior Bowl that Dart is closer to being QB 2 in this class than he is QB 4.

Dart is one of the most polarizing prospects in the class. Some see him as a legitimate candidate to be taken in the top fifteen picks, considering the class he's in this year.

Others believe he's a day three QB prospect with a lot of question marks in his profile.

No matter what – it feels somewhat likely that he goes on day two of the draft, and New Orleans is a potential landing spot for him. He impressed some folks at this year's Senior Bowl.

Derek Carr remains on the roster as of now, but it is not a given that the Saints won't move on from him via release or trade this offseason. Spencer Rattler is the other long-term option on the roster.

These picks are some major swings for the Saints to begin their draft, but they need to find upside and stability in this year's draft to get off on the right foot with their new head coach.
