Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters on Monday he was "confident" cornerback Quinyon Mitchell (shoulder) and quarterback Jalen Hurts (knee) would be available for the NFC Championship matchup against the Washington Commanders.
And a fresher report from Sportscenter's Jason Dumas is now doubling down on Sirianni's update and saying that a source close to Philly tells him that Mitchell and Hurts "will play" in Sunday's game.
"Source: I have been told that both Quinyon and Jalen Hurts will play on Sunday. I know Nick Sirianni basically said this on the radio today (regarding Jalen) and Quinyon told @ReinerOlivia this much post game.
"Just pushing it forward as of Tuesday evening, a few days removed."
While Hurts' presence is the more obvious boost here, Mitchell's availability will be huge for the secondary when they face Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Mitchell, a rookie cornerback out of Toledo, has been a game-changer this year on Philly's defense.
Opposite Darius Slay for much of the year, Mitchell racked up 46 total tackles and deflected 12 for the Eagles in 2024. However, one of his best games that did not light up the stat sheet happened against Daniels and the Commanders in Week 11.
Mitchell completely shut down Commanders' star wide receiver Terry McLaurin as he held him to zero targets on 20 routes.
The only hope now is that Mitchell can put up a repeat game as the Eagles look to advance to the Super Bowl.
