The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to catch a Philadelphia Eagles team that is splintering at the seams.
With teammates going at each other's throats, a veteran leader calling out relationships, and an HC trying to put out wildfires, there is a chance the Eagles could self-implode.
Well, according to Eagles beat writer Kelsey Kramer of A to Z Sports, the drama is overblown:
Q. Eagles RB Saquon Barkley is having the best season of his career after the New York Giants thought it would be smart to let him walk. With how closely you watch the team, what has stood out to you the most about Barkley and the Eagles run game?
A. I think what’s still so crazy to me is how effective the Eagles’ offensive line has been even without their anchor in Jason Kelce. Not only that, but they’ve been banged up for much of the season so there have been a lot of moving parts there. One thing that’s for sure though is that no matter who is up front, they’re going to open up lanes for Barkley run. And then looking at Barkley he’s just more physical than ever… and this is going to sound corny but he’s happier. He’s also healthier. But finally being happy with where you’re at mixed with a great God-given talent and a solid offensive line –you’re bound to shine.

Q. Despite being winners of nine straight, there is a lot of drama going on in Philly right now. Do you think the relationship between star WR A.J. Brown and QB Jalen Hurts is actually splintered? And if so, could it have an outcome on their performance down the stretch?
A. Sure, there is frustration with the passing game. But I don’t think it’s directly impacting their friendship or relationship. I think Brandon Graham was just talking and forgot to stop in typical BG fashion. He’s the yapper on the team and those kinds of people get carried away. He came back and apologized hours later for being wrong. If there was a real problem we would have seen it on the sidelines by now just like we did all season long last year. Not to mention that Nick Sirianni said repeatedly this week how these two are inseparable during and after practice. But another win and a Brown touchdown on Sunday against Pittsburgh will clear that up real quick if so.

Q. Sunday’s game is one of the best of the year. With the Steelers likely to be without George Pickens, it’s going to be tough sledding against their best opponent yet. What’s your final prediction and score?
A. Even without Pickens, this Steelers team is legit. They especially have it figured out on defense, which is going to be a tough matchup for Jalen Hurts and the Birds, and possibly a wake-up call. I think it will be another ugly start for the Eagles but they’ll come up with a win in the end. Eagles 24 Steelers 19
