There's no question the biggest name on the inactives list for today's matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles is that of quarterback Jalen Hurts, who was ruled out earlier in the week (concussion). 

But 90 minutes before kickoff, the Cowboys have announced their full list of inactives and it has some significant names as well. CeeDee Lamb was placed on Injured Reserve on Saturday and thus isn't listed among the 53-man roster's inactives.

Notes on Cowboys' inactives

  • Notably, backup tackle Asim Richards was activated off of IR this week and is now slated to be available on today's game. The reason I'm interested in a backup lineman returning is that the Cowboys were giving him a chance at competing at left tackle and with the odd handling of first-round rookie Tyler Guyton, who's been relegated to the bench behind Chuma Edoga, I wonder if Richards gets into the rotation again. He's another intriguing piece  to an equation the Cowboys haven't figured out. 
  • T.J. Bass is arguably the biggest name on the inactives list as he's the top backup guard at the moment for the Cowboys. 
  • No Deuce Vaughn in such meaningless games feels like the end of his stay in Dallas, to be honest. He's barely been involved with the offense this year and it feels like the Cowboys are ready to move on. 
  • Despite being signed to the roster little over a week ago, rookie Justin Rogers is a healthy scratch for today's game.
