The Houston Texans suffered three brutal injuries on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs. They lost Tank Dell to a knee injury, which we all saw was severe. They also lost safety Jimmie Ward and offensive lineman Shaq Mason to injuries.

As far as the Dell injury, the Texans and head coach DeMeco Ryans have been keeping us as updated as they possibly can. He stayed in Kansas City overnight at their local hospital and appears to be headed back to Houston on Sunday morning.

As far as the other two, we haven't heard much about them, until one Houston Texans' insider revealed some key details about their injury. Here is what Aaron Wilson of KCPR2 said on Twitter:

Texans guard Shaq Mason will continue to undergo more tests on his knee, and there are some indications he has avoided a serious injury, per league sources. No structural damage or fracture for Texans nickel Jimmie Ward's foot injury, per league sources

The Texans dodged a bullet with those two. Now, that doesn't mean they will both play this season. We still don't know if that will happen or not. But, it feels like they may have both avoided some serious injuries.

The Texans will be happy to get that news. They play the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day next week.
