Houston Texans starter just showed that the NFL can only do so much when they are punishing him

The Houston Texans had an altercation a few weeks ago against the Jacksonville Jaguars that we pretty much all know about by now, right? If you don't, well, Texans linebacker Azeez Al Shaair hit quarterback Trevor Lawrence as he was sliding. What you want to say it was, late or not, is up to you. But the facts are that he did receive a suspension as a result of the entire incident.
Just in case you missed it, here is a recap of what the NFL did to Azeez Al-Shaair:
“Your lack of sportsmanship and respect for the game of football and all those who play, coach, and enjoy watching it, is troubling and does not reflect the core values of the NFL," NFL Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan wrote. "Your continued disregard for NFL playing rules puts the health and safety of both you and your opponents in jeopardy and will not be tolerated.”
And he responded on social media this way:
"IF YOU WANT ME TO BE YOUR VILLAIN, ILL BE YOUR VILLAIN! SEE YOU SOON…," Al-Shaair posted on social media.
He is currently serving his three-game suspension and will be back before their first playoff game, as he missed the game against the Miami Dolphins, and Kansas City Chiefs and will miss the next game against the Baltimore Ravens.
On Saturday, though, he was at a watch party with a ton of fans and signed autographs, did somewhat of a meet and greet, and all sorts of things. Sure, he is being made out to look like a bad guy, but he's not.
And I think this shows that the NFL can only do so much, they can't take away his right to show up and show out for the fan base.
Houston Texans won’t have to play an extra playoff game in Week 18 like they did last season
They did it back to back years now.
