The Cincinnati Bengals now have a full practice squad to prepare for Week 17's do-or-die game against the Denver Broncos.

Cincinnati announced Tuesday afternoon that defensive tackle Domenique Davis and linebacker Craig Young have been signed to the practice squad, bringing the group to the 16-player maximum.

Davis, a free agent signing of Cincinnati's back in 2022, spent all of that season and 2023 on the Bengals' practice squad and was on track to doing the same this year. He was released on October 22 and has been a free agent ever since.

The Bengals have been a bit thin at defensive tackle since Sheldon Rankins came down with a viral illness right before Week 11. Head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Tuesday that he doesn't anticipate Rankins playing this week and offered a "we'll see" about him returning for the regular season finale next week.

Without Rankins, the Bengals have started rookie Kris Jenkins Jr. next to BJ Hill with another rookie McKinnley Jackson and Jay Tufele as rotational players. Davis could be elevated to join this group against a Denver Broncos team that ran for over 100 yards in seven consecutive games earlier this season. The Bengals are 30th in rushing success rate allowed on defense.

As for Young, he was signed as a college free agent by the Indianapolis this year and spent time with them and the Pittsburgh Steelers this season. The Steelers released him from their practice squad on November 5. The Bengals play the Steelers next week to close out the season.
