The Kansas City Chiefs escaped their Week 13 win over the Las Vegas Raiders without any substantial new injuries. Perhaps the best part of it all is that both RB Isiah Pacheco and DE Charles Omenihu made it through their first game back without any setbacks.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid spoke about Pacheco on Wednesday, explaining that the team wanted to be cautious with his workload to start off.

"He ended up with 20-some-odd plays," Reid said. "But yes, I would say yes, it was. Wanted to get him into the mix, get him caught up with the speed of the game. We were thinking right around 20 plays. Didn't necessarily care, carries or not. I'm glad it worked out that way, though, so he could. He came out healthy, feeling good, no setbacks."

The same went for Omenihu, who saw a slightly larger workload in Week 13.

"I feel good, I feel good," Omenihu told reporters on Wednesday. "[I] don't have any soreness. No swelling. Greg [Carbin] and Tiff [Tiffany Morton] have been marvelous in the process of getting me back and getting to the point where I can play. I think I did 34 snaps and feel good and had no trouble today or throughout the weekend."

That's good news for Kansas City. The team appears to be getting healthier at just the right time before what looks to be the toughest stretch of the 2024 NFL season.

Here's a look at the first injury reports for both teams for Week 14's game on Sunday night. . .
