Lawrence was sliding when he took a late and hard hit from Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair.

Al-Shaair was ejected from the game due to the unnecessary roughness penalty.
Almost immediately after he was taken to the locker room, Lawrence was ruled out with a concussion. Mac Jones replaced him at quarterback.
Al-Shaair was taken off the field by security, as he was seen having words with Jaguars fans on the way off the field.
Prior to the injury, Lawrence was 4-of-10 for 41 yards and one interception.
