Week 12 brought the Cleveland Browns exactly what they would have hoped for against the Pittsburgh Steelers. After an embarrassing loss to the New Orleans Saints last week, the Browns stepped up in a big way to defeat the Steelers on Thursday night, 24-19.

Following the game, the Browns left one specific Steeler scrambling for excuses and it may not be all that surprising.

"Conditions played a huge, huge part in today's game," Steelers WR George Pickens said after the game. "I don't really think the Cleveland Browns are a good team at all. I think the conditions saved them today."

The thing that jumps out right away is that the Steelers played in the same snowy conditions as the Browns. Pittsburgh is a town that can get snowy just like Cleveland. The Browns had no advantage in this one, even if Pickens says they did to help him cope. Pickens calling the Browns a bad team is a rough look too, considering the Steelers were handed a loss by them.

On the final play of the game, Pickens took himself out of having a chance to make a play on a hail mary because he was occupied getting tangled up with Browns CB Greg Newsome II. It wasn’t an uncommon play by Pickens at all.

Cleveland held Pickens to four catches for 48 yards, which was well under his average yardage a game at 70. Outside of one long completion, Cleveland did a pretty good job at limiting the talented wideout.

The Browns and Steelers will see each other again in a couple of weeks. Maybe, just maybe, it will be snowing in Pittsburgh. If that happens, it will be interesting to see what Pickens has to say about the conditions.
