The Seattle Seahawks entered the Week 12 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals with a chance to take first place in the NFC West and sure enough, they did just that thanks to the 16-6 win over its division rival. They are now the NFC's No. 3 seed, while the Cardinals are the No. 8 seed.
Now, the Seahawks lead the NFC West thanks to the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Cardinals. It was a hard fought game that only adds to the craziness that currently makes up the division. Regardless, the Seahawks sit atop the NFC West and control their own destiny, moving forward.
Coming into the game, the Seahawks had a 23% chance of making the playoffs, per NFL.com. A loss would drop said chances to 10%, while a win would boost them to 34%.
The Athletic had the Seahawks' chances of making the postseason at 11% and their chances of winning the NFC West at 8% – those odds are obviously much better, now, at 23% and 19%, respectively. ESPN's model had the pregame odds of making the dance and winning the division at 14% and 10%, respectively. Those are now 29% and 25%, respectively.

The veteran quarterback's resurgence in the Northwest has been nothing but remarkable and that's continuing in 2024. So far, it looks like the 'Hawks are figuring things out as they head into the final six weeks of the season. A much-maligned defense kept a potent Cardinals offense from reaching the end zone, which is a major accomplishment.
The NFL season is a long one that contains plenty of ups and downs, but it means a lot when teams continue to improve in November and December. With two big division wins in as many weeks and December right around the corner, it's hard to not get excited about what the Seahawks can do moving forward.
