There's plenty to be thankful for this holiday season if you're a fan of the back-to-back Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs have a league-best 10-1 record as they look to compete for a third consecutive Super Bowl title. They're in a sprint to the finish line, but that doesn't mean they can't take a breather and have a little fun along the way.

With Thanksgiving soon upon us, SidelineSportsTalk's Steve Walls decided to spread some holiday cheer during Tuesday's media availability. He asked both QB Patrick Mahomes and DT Chris Jones to play a game of start, bench, cut with some popular Thanksgiving dishes.

The pair of NFL stars agreed on one thing. . .

Patrick Mahomes

Start: Mac N Cheese

Bench: Yams

Cut: Turkey

“I’m cutting turkey – probably – the other two I love," he said. "I’ll probably start macaroni and cheese if it’s made the right way and then bench yams, but I love those too."

Mahomes didn't want to get into the details when asked how to make the Mac the "right way."

“It’s just like – I don’t want to get too much into it, but the right way," he said. "Everybody knows what I’m saying.”

Chris Jones

Start: Yams

Bench: Mac N Cheese

Cut: Turkey

Asked about his favorite Thanksgiving dishes, Jones also said he likes "Mac N Cheese or Sweet Potatoes."
