Jennings, for whatever reason, has avoided speaking to the media despite enjoying a breakout season.
49ers head coach Kyle Shananan was asked this week why Jennings hasn't been speaking to the media.
Shanahan told reporters that he didn't realize that the former Vol isn't speaking to the media before pointing out that Jennings doesn't take losses very well.
"I didn't even know he wasn't talking to you guys, so that's the first I've heard," said Shanahan. "Can I do that, too? Maybe Jauan is just smarter than I am. Yeah, I didn't know."
"Jauan's an emotional dude, and that's what makes him so great," added Shanahan. "You guys see how he plays, and Jauan's one of my favorite people in the world. He's unique in just the energy he brings to everything….And I haven't asked him because I didn't know that. But I'm sure he hasn't been in the mood after games. He takes those hard."
The 49ers started the season with Super Bowl aspirations. San Francisco, however, is currently 5-7 and in dead last in the NFC West. The 49ers are in the midst of a three game losing streak, too.
It's well documented that Jennings hates to lose. He likely just doesn't want to say anything that he might regret after a loss. If that's indeed the case, it's a smart move by the former Vol.
